Gabourey Sidibe photographed by Inez and Vinoodh for V Magazine #63
oh okay. be in a movie about how societal roles work to oppress populations and then be in a photoshoot where you comply with patriarchal, racist standards of beauty (aka straighter hair, makeup, etc) and wear jewelry that says “i’m a doll” emphasizing female gender roles and obviously stating that you are being photographed and represented as an object. therefore completely being objectified.
